Compeer Inc. Board of Directors
Mark Aesch, CEO of the Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA), is responsible for managing a $70 million public transportation system with 775 employees. He coordinates development of the authority’s strategic and operating plans and supervises senior management staff. As executive director of RGRTA's Renaissance Square Corp., he is managing all aspects of the $230 million Renaissance Square project in downtown Rochester, N.Y. Aesch earned a bachelor’s degree with dual majors in Communications and History from the State University of New York, College at Brockport.
Robert Colangelo Member Robert Colangelo is President and CEO of DocumentWorx, LLC, a new venture dedicated to delivering advanced, web-based document management services. Prior to that position, Colangelo served as vice president of global development and delivery for Xerox Global Services, where he was responsible for worldwide service technology development and implementation of client revenue projects with responsibility for 1200+ consulting and technology employees worldwide. Colangelo studied business administration at the University of Buenos Aires and systems analysis at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires. In 2005 and 2006, Colangelo was named one of the 50 most influential Hispanics in technology by Hispanic Engineer Magazine.
Philip Fain is the founder and the managing partner of CXO on the GO LLC, a management-consulting firm. Fain is also an equity shareholder in a number of small, high growth businesses. He previously served as vice president of finance for Bausch & Lomb’s Global Eyewear business, which included the Ray-Ban brand, and as CFO of Luxottica, SpA, which purchased Bausch & Lomb's eyewear portfolio.
Steve Gadd A professional drummer for more than 30 years, Steve Gadd is one of the most in-demand drummers in the world. Steve has played on more than 600 albums for a broad range of recording artists, including Eric Clapton, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Peter Gabriel and Stevie Wonder. He was also a member of Steely Dan. Steve is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, and received an honorary doctor of music degree from Berklee College of Music.
Pam Giambrone helps students throughout the greater Rochester, N.Y. area as a teacher and as a private tutor. A long-time friend to Compeer, she has served as a Compeer volunteer for more than five years and has been actively involved in numerous Compeer events and activities. Pam earned a bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University in Ohio, where she met her husband - the late Ben R. Giambrone, former president and CEO of Compeer Inc.
As executive director of Family Services of Chemung County Inc. in Elmira, N.Y., Ted Kordela oversees an agency of 180 staff with primary services in mental health, home care and youth-preventative programs. Kordela expanded the community clinical services from a small, rural clinic into the largest outpatient clinic in upstate New York, including specialty services that draw clients from a nine-county region. He also implemented the first non-hospital-based, rural partial hospitalization program in the Eastern U.S. A Compeer volunteer, Kordela earned his master's degree in Human Services Administration from Spertus College and his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Syracuse University.
Secretary Michael Paddock serves both as CEO of Grants Office, a national grant-development services firm, and as Grants Columnist for HSToday magazine. In his Grants Office role, he consults state and local governments and international agencies on a wide range of funding issues. Paddock served on the U.S. Inter-agency Electronic Grants Committee and co-founded the New York State E-grants Project in 1999. His article, “Funding the First 72 Hours,” was recently accepted as a reference within the National Blueprint for Secure Communities, a joint project of the National Council on Readiness and Preparedness and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Marty Stern is a partner at the law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates & Ellis LLP in Washington, D.C. Stern provides strategic and policy advice to telecommunications, information technology and media firms in the U.S., Asia and beyond, and is co-chair of the firm’s Telecom, Media and Technology group. He assists telecom and broadband providers on all aspects of operations and handles complex regulatory issues in connection with mergers, acquisitions, financings and restructuring activities. Stern earned his juris doctor degree from Georgetown Law Center and his MBA and bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.
